- HyperBoost for Android (www.extremedroid.com.a4gltetoolkit)
HyperBoost (“the app”) is a phone cleaner and toolkit for Android made by ExtremeDroid (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does with information on your phone, what the advertising service in the app collects, and the choices you have.
In short
HyperBoost works on your phone. We do not run servers that receive your data, the app has no accounts, and your photos, files, recordings, app list and readings never leave your phone through us. The app shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some device information to show and measure those ads, as described in section 3.
1.Information the app uses on your phone
The app reads the following only to show you results on your phone. It is processed on the device and is not sent to us or to anyone else by the app.
Photos, videos and audio files
Android’s media permissions, or “Photos and videos” with limited access; on Android 12 and older, the storage permission
- Why the app uses it
- The phone checkup, the large-file finder and the duplicate finder look for exact copies, look-alike and blurry photos, old screenshots, big files and chat apps’ media, so you can review them. Asked for only when you start such a scan.
- Where it goes
- Stays on your phone. Nothing is deleted without your review and Android’s own confirmation.
Photos you pick
Android’s photo picker
- Why the app uses it
- The photo compressor, resize/crop/convert, photos to PDF and text-from-images tools work on the photos you choose.
- Where it goes
- Stays on your phone. The originals are never changed; a new copy is saved only when you save.
Folders you choose
- Why the app uses it
- The storage tools can scan a folder you pick in Android’s folder picker.
- Where it goes
- Stays on your phone.
Camera
- Why the app uses it
- The QR and barcode scanner, the flashlight, and the document scanner (provided by Google Play services).
- Where it goes
- Camera images are not stored unless you save a result.
Microphone
- Why the app uses it
- The microphone check records a short test.
- Where it goes
- Recordings are deleted unless you choose to save one.
Location permission
- Why the app uses it
- Android requires it before any app may see Wi-Fi network names or scan nearby Wi-Fi networks, which the Wi-Fi signal, channel survey and connection tools show.
- Where it goes
- HyperBoost does not read or store your position (GPS) and never sends it anywhere. Used only while those tools are open.
Usage access
An Android setting, turned on by you
- Why the app uses it
- App usage times, apps you have not opened for 30 days in the checkup, and the battery monitor’s estimate of battery use per app.
- Where it goes
- Stays on your phone.
Installed apps and their sizes
- Why the app uses it
- The checkup lists unused and large apps and app caches. Uninstalling happens only through Android’s own confirmation.
- Where it goes
- Stays on your phone.
Battery, storage, memory, network and sensor readings
- Why the app uses it
- The readings on Home, the widgets, the battery screen, device information, the compass, the level and the sensor explorer.
- Where it goes
- Stays on your phone.
Battery monitor
Only if you turn it on
- Why the app uses it
- A background service with a visible notification records the battery level, charging state, current, voltage, temperature and screen on/off, to show charge history, drain rates and an estimated capacity.
- Where it goes
- Kept in a local database on your phone. Turn it off any time with the switch at the top of the Battery screen.
Notifications
- Why the app uses it
- The battery monitor’s notification, its charge alarm, and the weekly checkup reminder if you turn it on. If you turn HyperBoost’s notifications off in Android, the battery monitor keeps recording until you turn it off, and the Battery screen tells you so.
- Where it goes
- Shown on your phone only.
Network
- Why the app uses it
- A DNS lookup you request, and the connection troubleshooter’s lookup of one well-known name (example.com), go through your phone’s own resolver. Ads and Google Play services use the internet as described below.
- Where it goes
- We receive nothing.
The app does not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, call logs, SMS or precise location, and has no account or sign-in.
2.Information stored on your phone
The app keeps on your phone: your History (files you saved, notes and results you kept, hardware-check answers), your game progress (XP, levels, badges), your settings, the battery monitor’s record, the Wi-Fi signal log for the widget, and your last checkup result. Files you save go to your phone’s Pictures/HyperBoost, Documents/HyperBoost and Recordings/HyperBoost folders (on Android 11 and older, recordings go to Music/HyperBoost). On Android 9 and older, saving a file asks for Android’s storage permission, which those versions need for saving into these folders.
To delete it all, uninstall the app, or open Android Settings → Apps → HyperBoost → Storage → Clear storage. Files you saved stay in those folders until you delete them.
3.Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows ads served by Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app may collect and send to Google:
- device identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID;
- your IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location;
- information about the ads shown and your interactions with them (views, taps);
- information about your device and the app (model, Android version, language, app version), and diagnostic data about the SDK’s performance.
Google uses this to show ads, to measure them, to prevent fraud and abuse, and, where you allow it, to personalise ads. How Google uses this information is described in Google’s Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google’s list of ad technology providers is at support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903.
Your choices about ads
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the app asks for your consent through Google’s consent form before showing ads, and you can change your choice at any time in the app: Settings → Ad privacy → Privacy choices.
- Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Google → Ads on some phones).
- An hour without ads: the app offers to watch one rewarded ad of your choice for an hour without other ads. Watching it is always optional. While it lasts, the app shows how much of it is left.
The app shows ads only at natural breaks: a clearly labelled “Ad” card between parts of a page (on the tools list and on the home screen) or under a finished result, and occasionally a full-screen ad when a task you started finishes (a clean-up, or saving in a photo tool), before its result. It never shows ads in its hardware checks or network measurements, and never rewards you for tapping an ad.
4.Google Play services
Some tools use features of Google Play services on your phone: the document scanner, text recognition from images, and barcode scanning (Google ML Kit). The images are processed on your phone. Google may collect information about how these services perform, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. Google Play services may download the components these tools need.
5.Children
HyperBoost is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app and that information about them was collected through ads, contact us and we will help you reach Google.
6.Security
Information the app uses stays in the app’s private storage on your phone, protected by Android. Data the Google Mobile Ads SDK sends to Google is encrypted in transit.
7.Retention and deletion
We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to keep or delete. Data on your phone stays until you remove it (see section 2). Google keeps advertising data as set out in its own policies; you can reset your advertising ID at any time.
8.Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information. Because we do not receive personal information from the app, most requests will concern Google’s advertising data: use the choices in section 3, or contact us and we will help.
9.Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update it here with a new effective date, and tell you in the app when the change is significant.
